Emotional
There are a few songs that I’ve heard in my life that I find so sad, that hey move me to no end. That’s not a manly thing to say but it’s the truth. There are actually very few songs like that. A lot of them are by Bruce Springsteen: the river, Bobby Jean, No Surrender and a lot more. There are other songs that touch me, but none that move me so much. I’m not sure what it is since the music in itself isn’t particularly emotional.
Another song is “Comptine d’une autre ete” by Yann Tiersen, featured in the movie “Amelie”. The overall sound of that song, the pure simplicity and the very melancholic touch of the song make this one of the saddest compositions I’ve ever heard.
Maybe I’ll make a list here as I hear them coming around on the radio, or on youtube ;)
