Family rules!

My wife is pregnant and isn’t her usual self around the house. She needs to lie down frequently. I’ve been seriously ill all of last week with a viral stomach infection which has really confined me to the couch and the bed. Cramps, aches, dull aches were all part of the daily routine I went through, in between the eating of toast and more toast, sometimes with a little cheese on top.

In the meantime, we had to get our house ready for the realtor to take pictures of it so he could start selling it. But that was impossible with both of us lying on the couch and feeling ill. Today, Anne’s parents and brother came over and they did a wonderful job! Almost the complete kitchen was cleaned, including the oven, we fixed and decorated all of the attic, and a lot more was done. And they’re even coming back next week for some more!

Thanks to them, we can still be ill and have the house done in time. Thanks a lot, folks! Thanks a lot!
