Windows Vista: Aggravation Edition
I bought a new PC. It got Vista Home Premium on it. PREMIUM AGGRAVATION THAT IS!
After trying to get Vista to recognise my widescreen monitor I gave up. It’s now completely clean again and I’m installing my copy of Windows XP onto it.
If only I didn’t need Windows for the majority of my programs … I’d probably install Windows, still …

I feel your pain, my Vista desktop is gathering dust as we speak — might as well install Ubuntu on it.
Once you go Mac you don’t go back, it sure is worth the investment.

You know, I was considering a Mac and running Parallels on it to still be able to play World of Warcraft on it.
I mean, basically, true and true, that’s the only software I use that isn’t available for Mac. The other things I use are Premiere Photoshop, Illustrator and Premiere, and Cubase. But those all exist for Mac.
Then again, this PC cost me 900 euro something, whereas a decent Mac of this calibre would have cost me 2000 euro.
Why doesn’t Apple release their Mac OS as a separate OS. They’ve been planning to do that ever since the Nineties :(

Well the first thing i did when i had my new computer assembled was to make sure that the store had Windows XP.
I have a liter version of Cubase(SE) which is not supported by Steinberg for the Intel based Macs.
So,like you,i wasn’t ready to go for a more expensive computer AND buy a new Cubase.
