What do I see?
I did it. After reinstalling Windows XP on my new PC and finding out that the problem with the screen isn’t a Vista problem but a user problem (install the driver and all is dandy), I decided to run Vista on a Virtual Machine.
Having done that, I was rather at ease with Vista so I decided to reinstall Vista as my main OS. I’m not unhappy. It looks pretty good (but nowhere as fancy as MacOS and I’ve even seen Unix Shells that have more eye candy on board) and it’s reasonably fast.
Only downside was that non-user created files (files downloaded) were no longer accessible through Windows Vista. But nothing that could really really bother me. Oh, and the fact that I couldn’t actually upgrade because I had an English XP and a Dutch Vista … And the fact that upgrading to Vista Ultimate just to be able to switch to English would cost about 1/3rd of what the PC cost me.
So I’m on Vista. Hurray. I’m modern and slick now, right? RIGHT? please?

Yes you are!
But i stuck to XP because i use a M-Audio midi controller(supposedly they don’t have their drivers ready for Vista yet)and for the Cubase issue mentionned earlier. So i decided to be a left behind loser.Ha ha!
