I’m going to sing opera.
Here’s a guy doing part of Puccini opera. If you look at the video, you’ll see the judges’ eyes tear up. Not only the judges’ eyes teared up, but mine as well. Aside from Puccini having an incredible knack for writing really dramatic parts, this guy’s singing is extroardinary.

I’ve seen this video a fair few times and its almost impossible not to be moved by Puccini’s Nessun Dorma, regardless of who sings it.
Technically speaking perhaps not the most flawless performance but still what a voice Paul Potts has and that without any formal training. It is rather objectionable though that in this first round they cut up the aria to nicely fit in a two minute slot, it loses almost all of the dramatic build-up.
Definitely worth watching the final where he sings the aria in full or Pavarotti’s last performance of it at in Torino.

Yes, PP is not flawless - you can hear him wavering at certain moments but to have a phone salesman produce this kind if sound is incredible.
I’ve also watched the finals and compared it to Pavarotti’s rendition. While Pavarotti’s voice is warmer, I like the fact that PP’s voice actually suits the Puccini part much more - he sounds a lot more desperate than Pavarotti does.
